is now available for purchase as an ebook on google books.

all proceeds from the sale of the ebook will go towards establishing the journal as a non-profit organization in california ($800 to go...) so that we might some day qualify for literary grants in order to bring a print version to our readers.

analogpress.net submission guidelines

Please include in the body of your file at the beginning a cover letter and brief bio. These items should preclude your submission as one total submission file. In the 'Subject' field, please provide the following: [MonthYear Submitted | Last Name, First Name] + [nature of submission] (e.g., Subject field = 'October 2011 - Harrison, Patty - Poetry Submission'. analogpress.net accepts .pdf, .odt, .doc., and .docx file formats. If you are submitting a .pdf file please be sure that the submitted file's security permissions allows for copying (editing).

All submissions must include a footer with the title of the work including your name and contact information on each page of your file submission. Please be sure that you include your email address. Your cover letter should include a title list of the works you are submitting and included as the first page of your submission file. Submissions that do not adhere to the requested formatting as outlined here will not be considered for publication.

Important: Due to editorial time constraints and the overwhelming number of submissons received, please be sure your submission is proof-ready and that any stanza breaks that occur over page breaks are clearly indicated. Otherwise, the editors retain the right to interpret layout based on the format provided. If time allows, layout proofs will be forwarded prior to publication but we cannot guarentee this option.

The file name for your submission must also be formatted as per the guidelines for the 'Subject' field outlined above. Any submissions submitted that do not comply with the formatting request will not be considered for review.

At this time analogpress.net is unable to offer payment. We do not accept simultaneous submissions. And we do not accept genre-material (i.e., thriller, erotica, horror, etcetera) unless the work is experimental in nature. For consideration, please contact the editors using our contact form on the 'Contact' tab.

Fiction: Please submit fiction no more than 15 pages in length. For longer pieces and/or serial, please submit a 2-5 page sample from the work and indicate in your cover letter that you would like to submit a longer piece (state total number of pages). Include in your cover letter a brief synopsis of your piece.

Non-fiction:Please submit non-fiction no more than 10 pages in length and describe the topic in your cover letter. For longer pieces, please submit a 2-5 page sample from the work and indicate in you cover letter that you would like to submit a longer piece (state total number of pages). Include a brief synopsis of your piece.

Poetry: Please submit no more than 3-5 poems. Prose & major poems are considered. If the length of the piece is in excess of 5 pages, please review the guidelines for fiction and include in your cover letter

Art/Photography: We are not accepting unsolicited submissions for art/photography. Artists are selected by invitation only. However, if you would like to be considered for inclusion as a featured artist, we welcome all inquiries. Please use the contact form on our 'Contact' tab.
